TkMap is a bioTk program for drawing publication quality linear maps of a set of genetic or RH markers. TkMap is copyrighted material, but may be freely distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

To run TkMap you will need these supplemental programs installed on your computer:

  1. tcl version 7.4 and Tk version 4.0 available from http://www.sunlabs.com/research/tcl/
  2. bioTk version 1.3 available from http://www.cbil.upenn.edu/~dsearls/bioTk.html

I also required this patch to bioTk v1.3 map.tcl file in order to be able to correctly draw labels to the left of the map axis. I've sent the patch to the author.
